剧情梗概：
一九六四年，一所位于纽约市的天主教会学校，阿洛西斯修女是这所学校的校长，出于本能和职业敏感，她在没有任何证据的情况下，怀疑学校的弗林神父特别照顾班级里唯一的一个黑人男学生是因为他企图或者已经引诱了这个男孩做了不该做的事情。面对阿洛西斯修女的置疑，神父尽力辩解，可是这改变不了修女的怀疑。两人展开了一场意志和信仰的较量，是修女出于偏见和嫉妒刻意设计赶走神父？还是神父在开明平和的外表下隐藏着不可告人的私心？事情的真相到底如何？我们最终会选择怀疑还是相信呢？
Synopsis
It's 1964, St. Nicholas in theBronx. A charismatic priest, Father Flynn, is trying to upend the schools'strict customs, which have long been fiercely guarded by Sister AloysiusBeauvier, the iron-gloved Principal who believes in the power of fear anddiscipline. The winds of political change are sweeping through the community,and indeed, the school has just accepted its first black student, DonaldMiller. But when Sister James, a hopeful innocent, shares with Sister Aloysiusher guilt-inducing suspicion that Father Flynn is paying too much personalattention to Donald, Sister Aloysius sets off on a personal crusade to unearththe truth and to expunge Flynn from the school. Now, without a shard of proof besidesher moral certainty, Sister Aloysius locks into a battle of wills with FatherFlynn which threatens to tear apart the community with irrevocable consequence。
