A Dearm in the Peony Garden[Yun5](2007)
A Dream in the Peony Garden[Yun5] is the fifth piece of the Yun series .As with other works by the composer ,the Yun series are a reflection of Chinese traditional culture . in particular, the aesthetic principle of “line”(found in the art of calligraphy) was highly influential to the composition of this piece. A Dream in the Peony Garden[Yun5] draws inspiration from the famous drama The Peony Pavilion by the late Ming Dynasty playwright Tang Xiannzu(1550-1616). It is neither a musical reproduction of that dramatic scene nor a symphonic extension of musical material drawn from Kunqu opera, but rather a spiritual interpretation inspired by the unique romantic temperament and artistic cadences of that ancient drama
《牡丹园之梦[韵之五]》《牡丹园之梦[韵之五]》是韵系列的第五篇，对于其他作曲家，韵系列是中国传统文化的反映，特别是美学原则上的“线”(出自书法艺术)，高度影响着这个领域的创作，《牡丹园之梦[韵之五]》创作的灵感来自于明末剧作家汤显祖(1550-1616)的名剧《牡丹亭》，它既不是音乐繁殖的戏剧性场面，也不是昆曲音乐材料的交响乐延伸，而更多的是被古代戏曲所特有的浪漫气质与艺术韵律所激发的心灵诠释。
