广西艺术学院简介
广西艺术学院由国画大师徐悲鸿先生1938年创办于桂林。学校是全国省属六所综合性艺术院校之一，也是广西唯一的综合性高等艺术学府，总占地面积10.74万㎡。学校设有美术学院、设计学院、桂林中国画学院、音乐学院、舞蹈学院、人文学院、影视学院等7个二级学院和附属中等艺术学校。学校教学条件优越，拥有功能齐备的画室、琴房、音乐厅、排练厅、多媒体教室、计算机教室、专业实验室、教学工作室、计算机音乐制作室等千余间。2006年，在教育部普通高校本科教学工作水平评估中荣获“优秀”等级。2008年被教育部确定为硕士推免生工作高校。
Brief Introduction to Guangxi Arts Institute
Guangxi Arts Institute (GXAI) was founded by the great Chinese painter, Mr. Xu Beihong in Guilin in 1938. Ocuping an area of 107,400 square meters, it is one of the six provincial comprehensive arts institutions of higher learning in China and the only comprehensive arts institute in Guangxi. The Institute has seven schools and a Middle School, namely School of Fine Arts, School of Design, Guilin Academy of Chinese Painting, School of Music, School of Dance, School of Humanities and School of Film & Television as well as the Affiliated Middle School. The well-equipped teaching facilities includes painting studios, piano rooms, concert hall, rehearsal hall, multi-media classroom, computer classrooms, specialized labs, teaching studios and computer music studios. In the national undergraduate Education Level Evaluation carried out by the Ministry of Education, GXAI was awarded the Excellent Grade. In 2008, it was certified as the Higher Institution for Recommended Graduate by the Ministry of Education。
广西艺术学院现代室内乐团简介
广西艺术学院现代室内乐团成立于2008年，由学院十几位具有丰富表演经验的优秀中青年教师和演奏家组成。乐团的宗旨是：弘扬民族音乐文化，探索现代音乐创作。乐团成立以后，排练了一批由学院部分作曲家创作的现代室内乐作品。这些新作品，构思大胆自由，彰显独特个性。在创作理念上，将中国传统文化、民族文化与国际化视野相融合，重构了多元文化为一体的现代观念；在创作技法上，对传统室内乐创作模式进行了创新，冲破了传统与现代、高雅与流行、东方与西方的隔阂，充满创新精神；在作品风格上，将广西少数民族音乐元素与现代音乐表现手法完美结合，具有浓郁的民族特色和地域风情。2008年10月28日在广西南宁成功举办首场音乐会，赢得众多赞誉，引起广泛关注。
Brief Introduction to Guangxi Arts Institute Modern Chamber Ensemble
Founded in 2008, Guangxi Arts Institute Modern Chamber Ensemble consists of over ten middle-age and young faculties and performers with rich performing experiences. The aim of the Ensemble is to promote ethnic nationality music culture and to explore modern music composition. Ever since its inception, the Ensemble has rehearsed many modern chamber works by the Institute composers. These works are bold in design and distinct in characteristics. They combine traditional Chinese culture, ethnic minority culture and internationalized horizons, constructing the modern conception of unity of multi-culture, decomposing the traditional model of chamber music, breaking through the barriers between the traditional and the modern, the classical and the popular as well as the East and the West. In style, they have incorporated the ethnic music elements with modern music. With its premiere on October 28, 2008, the Ensemble was critically acclaimed and attracted wide attention。
指挥家简介
蔡 央，广西艺术学院音乐学院教授，青年指挥家，民族管弦乐团常任指挥，民族器乐教研室主任，硕士研究生导师，中国音乐家协会会员、中国民族管弦乐学会会员、广西艺术学院现代室内乐团艺术指导及指挥。蔡央具有丰富的指挥经验，由他指挥的广西艺术学院民族管弦乐团及现代室内乐团曾多次受邀参加区内外重大演出活动。
