中村弘子
中村弘子在三岁时开始学习钢琴和乐理知识，并且很快成为众所周知的音乐神童。在日本赢得所有重要音乐比赛之后，她在15岁初次登台演奏，那时她成为NHK交响乐团弦乐队的第一个海外巡回演出的独奏者。在这次演出中，她在伦敦，巴黎和纽约等许多城市都得到了热烈的反响。在茱丽娅音乐学院，她和著名的教师罗西娜学习，并且后来成为第七届肖邦

Hiroko Nakamura
Hiroko Nakamura started to study the piano and the theory of harmony at the age of three, and soon became widely known as a child prodigy. After winning all of the major music competitions in Japan, she made her debut at the age of 15, when she was chosen to be the soloist for the first overseas tour of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. On this tour, she performed in cities such as London, Paris, and New York and received rave reviews. At the Julliard School of Music, she studied with the legendary pedagogue Rosina Lhevinne and subsequently became the youngest prizewinner at the 7th International Chopin Piano Competition. To date Nakamura has made over 3000 performances.
She has performed with numerous orchestras including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Symphoniker, Koeln Radio Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the USSR State Symphony Orchestra, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra-the National Orchestra of Sweden, and the Shanghai Broadcast Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Nakamura was the only Asian pianist Harold Schonberg, one of the most respected music critics of the 20th century, mentioned in his renowned book, “The Great Pianists”(Random House). He wrote, “She has brilliant technique, temperament to spare, and an affinity for romantic music.”
Recently, Nakamura took the position of Hamamatsu City Music Advisor, and in addition to her duties as the Music Director of the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy and the chairperson of the jury of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, she serves as a member of the jury of innumerable music competitions, such as the International Tchaikovsky Competition, Leeds International Pianoforte Competition, the A. Rubinstein Competition, the Sydney International Piano Competition, the Busoni International Piano Competition, China International Piano Competition in Beijing, and the China Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition.
She has received many distinctions, among them, the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for International Work, the NHK Broadcast Cultural Award, the Commandery Order of Merit from the government of Poland, and the Arthur Rubinstein Gold Medal. On top of her achievements as a musician, she has produced a best-selling book, which won her a non-fiction prize.
Nakamura has been an exclusive recording artist for Sony Records since its foundation in 1965.
