　　Shakespeare’s wonderful play ‘The Merchant of Venice’ is a story of love and revenge with a clever mix of comedy and high drama. The production will be set in the beautiful and decadent period of 1930s Venice, Italy, during the city’s famous annual masqued carnival. This production was first staged at the Royal Opera House -one of the worlds leading venues – and was then filmed by BBC TV and watched by millions.
