The music of this ballet,The Yellow River Piano Concerto,is based on The Yellow River Cantata,an immortal masterpiece of the Chinese Composer Xian Xinghai.With the Anti-Japanese War as its historical background and treated the Yellow River as the symbol of the Chinese Nation,while expressing the heroism,and eulogizing the heroic mettle and fighting spirit of the Chinese Nation.
The Yellow River is an experimental experience of incorporating Chinese national dance with classical ballet,utilizing the rich dance vocabulary of the Chinese national dance and vivid scenes to express the theme of the music.
