Principal Dancer
Meng Ningning graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 1996 and joined the National Ballet of China in the same year. She has danced leading roles in The Red Detachment of Women, Raise the Red Lantern, The Fountain of Tears, Sylvia and solo roles in Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Le Corsair. She has also danced in many Balanchine Ballets as Who Cares, The Four Temperaments, Serenade and contemporary works as The Yellow River, and Fate. She has worked with a Dutch choreographer in a contemporary ballet pas de deux, which was well received when performing for the Queen of the Netherlands.
In 2002, she won the Gold Medal at the 4th Nagoya International Ballet & Modern Dance Competition in Japan.
