Principal Dancer
Following his graduation from the Beijing Dance Academy in 1999, Yu joined the National Ballet of China. He has danced principal roles in the full-length ballets as the new version of Coppelia, Fountain of Tears and Sylvia. He has also danced as Solo and Coryphee in full length ballets The Red Detachment of Women, the Chinese version of The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake and ballet works as Yellow River, Variations for Four, Etudes, Chairman Dancer, Serenade and also the modern dance Salt.
In 2002, he won the Bronze Medal at the 4th Nagoya International Ballet and Modern Dance Competition in Japan.
