Soloist
Huang Zhen graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy and joined the National Ballet of China in 1995. He has danced the leading role in the full-length ballet The Red Detachment of Women and has also danced many different roles in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote. He danced the role of the lord in Raise the Red Lantern.
In 1999, he received the best dancer award from the Ministry of Culture of China, for his principal role in the ballet The Four Last Songs.
