　　北京紫禁城影业公司成立于1997年，集影视策划、制作、营销为一体，是中国最具实力的大型专业影视制作公司。自成立以来，紫禁城影业公司的经营业绩一直稳居中国电影生产企业的前列，国内票房过千万的影片近二十部，其中多部影片票房居当年年度票房冠亚军的地位，总票房超过5个亿，影片还行销到美国、日本、韩国、香港、台湾等多个国家和地区。紫禁城影业公司经过多年的实践，已形成从策划、拍摄、宣传到影片发行及衍生产品的开拓等完整有效的一条龙运营机制，在同业公司中取得了骄人业绩。

　　Established in 1997, Beijing Forbidden City Film Limited-liability Company is a state-owned enterprise co-invested by Beijing TV Station, Beijing TV Art Center, Beijing Municipal Film Company and Beijing Art and Culture Audio-video Publishing House.

　　The major business scope of Beijing Forbidden City Film Company is as follows: film making, distribution, show and performance, exhibition; the making and distribution of TV dramas and TV programs of special subjects; training of studio staff; technical development, transfer, consultation and services for culture-flavored products; development of after-sale products.

　　The Company employs the responsibility system of General Manager under the leadership of the Board of Directors. The working staff is recruited by General Manager in line with the labor contract system. The Company establishes the Office for Assistants to Managers, Office, Financial Office and Production Studio, among which the Office for Assistants to Managers takes charge of film-making and distribution publicity while the Production Studio employs contract system under which each staff member is employed and responsible for his or her own profits or losses. The Forbidden City Film Company focuses on producing high-plane films with various themes.

　　1998 saw the creation of Beijing Forbidden City Sanlian Pictures Distribution Co., LTD co-invested by Forbidden City Film Company, Beijing Municipal Film Company and Beijing Xinyinglian Film Limited-liability Company. A nationwide film distributor, the newly established Company enables the former distribution system to be still more professional.

　　Since its establishment, Beijing Forbidden City Film Company has presented such pictures as life after Departure of Lei Feng, Party A & Party B, Be There or Be Square, Sorry Baby, Go to School with Dad on My Back, A Time to Remember, The Birth of National Flag, The Treatment, Purple Sun, Balzac Et La Petite Tailleuse (with PARIS LE FILM), On The Other Side Of The Bridge (with AUSTRIA SK-FILM), Ga Da Meilin, Gone Is The One Who Held Me Dearest In The World, The Ordinary People’s Life and National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China. Besides, it has produced a handful of TV series, such as Story of Song Official Koulaoxi’er, Red Rock, Companion, Life Full of Love, A Beauty Staying in Metropolis, Unexpected Exciting Meeting, Impetuous Summer, Double Beauties, Spy hard on Sea, Love in Troubled Times and Historical Documentary Travels to the West, some of which have won numerous prizes and awards both at home and abroad.
