　　故事梗概

　　“宁愿坐在宝马车里哭也不愿坐在自行车后座上笑”？东方人与西方人价值观是否一致？通过形体这种基本的方式存在，《陌生的身体》告诉我们，对于中国人而言，外国的事物有时让人感到不安与紧迫，有时又让人感到好奇而刺激。而今，这一意义的上下文被打断，先前的系统与规则被损毁，新的事物正在形成。

　　三个中国舞者与三个欧洲舞者相遇，面对彼此，他们企图寻找相同与不同点间沟通的可能性。是否存在一个维度能让“外国人”与我们的紧密关联？是否有事物通过相同的途径向我们靠近？

　　Tanzcompagnie Rubato剧团

　　德国柏林的Tanzcompagnie Rubato剧团由尤塔·海尔与迪特尔·鲍曼于1985年建立，成立至今，剧团已经打造了超过50部涉及不同文化、艺术领域的作品，并将它们带到世界多个国家。1990年至1992年，剧团与格哈德·博纳(德国当代最重要舞蹈艺术家之一)合作，并于1992年获得由柏林艺术学院颁发的表演艺术奖。自1995年以来，剧团与中国广州、北京、香港、上海、云南等地都有长期合作。在其它作品之外，2001年的国际项目《免税》由来自中国、爱沙尼亚、加拿大和德国的舞者共同参与完成；2002年的《面对面》则是由中国舞者金星与迪特尔·鲍曼一同演绎，该剧在欧洲范围进行了演出；2004年的《美国问题》是一部由六位美国舞者出演的作品，在亚特兰大、休斯顿、旧金山、纽约等地进行了巡演。2005年，剧团受命为柏林世界文化中心创作了两部作品，两部作品均与金星舞蹈剧团合作，分别名为《上海美人》和《道》。《上海美人》于2006年在世界范围内巡演，并成为瑞士“迈向2006”中最成功的作品。2009年，剧团开始与来自上海、北京、广州的六位年轻的自由舞者合作。他们的首部作品为2010年推出的《看，我是中国人》，该剧曾在中国、德国与英国进行演出。《陌生的身体》延续了这一合作并在中国文本中加入了欧洲元素。

　　2012年，尤塔·海尔与迪特尔·鲍曼参与斯沃琪艺术酒店实习项目，在上海进行了为期三个月的造访。剧团的艺术工作长期由柏林文化部及国家表演艺术基金提供资助。

　　Synopsis

　　“It’s better tocry in a BMW than to grin on a bicycle,” says a young Chinese woman in apopular Chinese talk show. This statement is symptomatic of a young Chinesegeneration’s attitude – and of sprawling capitalism in China。

　　“My father says:look what they look like, the foreigners. They have strong bodies; they eatmilk and bread. We only had rice and water。” The advanced, white and Westernbody is equated with modernity, progress and the future. “Why don’t you marry aforeigner? You could have a beautiful baby。”

　　The feeling ofbeing foreign and appropriating the foreign are constantly reappearingprerequisites for human existence; they occur within and through the body in anelementary way. Foreign things can be disconcerting or menacing, or they canmake you curious or motivate you. Existing contexts of meaning are disturbed,previously dependable systems of rules are destroyed and new things emerge。

　　Three Chinese andthree European dancers meet, confront one another and search for access todifference and consensus. Is there a dimension of “the foreign” that doesn’tseparate us, but rather connects us? Something that approaches us in the sameway?

　　Tanzcompagnie Rubato

　　The Berlin, Germanybased – Tanzcompagnie Rubato was founded in 1985 by Jutta Hell and DieterBaumann. Up to this day Rubato has developed more then 50 full – length piecesin various artistic constellations and cultures and presented them in numeroustours around the world. 1990 to 1992 Rubato worked with Gerhard Bohner (one ofthe most important dance artist in Germanyfor a new approach to contemporary choreography in the 80 and 90) and receivedthe “Award for performing Art” by the Academyof Art, Berlin in 1992.

　　Since 1995 Rubatohas regularly worked and co-produced in China(Guangzhou, Beijing,Hong Kong, Shanghai, Yunnan Province). Beside other productions,the international project “Duty Free”(2001) has been produced with dancers fromChina, Estonia, Canada and Germany, “Person to Person” (2002) a duet between theChinese dancer Jin Xing and Dieter Baumann performed all over Europe ,“America! Question” (2004) a piece with six USdancers produced in the USAand toured in Atlanta, Houston,San Francisco, Boston, New York.In 2005 Rubato created two commissioned pieces for the “House of WorldCultures”， Berlin,“Shanghai Beauty” and “Eidos_Tao” with dancers from the Jin Xing Dance Theatre。“Shanghai Beauty” toured in 2006 world wide and was the most successful piecein Switzerlandduring the “Steps 2006”Festival。

　　In 2009 Rubatobegan cooperating with six young freelance dancers from Shanghai,Beijing and Guangzhou. Their first common project wasrealized in 2010 “Look at me, I’m Chinese”； it was shown in China, Germanyand Great Britain。“milk&bread / rice&water” continues this cooperation and adds aEuropean dimension to the Chinese context。

　　In 2012 JuttaHell and Dieter Baumann have been selected for a three month residency in Shanghai in the frame ofthe “The Swatch Art Peace Hotel Residency Program”

　　The artistic workof Tanzcompagnie Rubato is regularly supported with grants from the “culturaldepartment, city of Berlin”，the national “Foundation for Performing Arts”。
