David Wei is President of B&Q China since June 2002, and Chief Representative of Kingfisher Asia Limited since June 2003. He was promoted to a member of Kingfisher Leadership Group (KLG) since 2004.
David also takes several non-executive director roles in different industries since 2005. He is now the Non-executive Director and Advisory Board Member for IMI Plc, a FTSE 100 British Engineering company. He’s the Non-executive director and Chairman of Risk Management Committee for Bohai Bank, invested by Standard Charted Bank. He’s also the Non-executive director for Wuxi Commercial Mansion Corp., Ltd., a listed department store on Shanghai Stock Exchange.
David is one of the opinion leaders in modern retail and home improvement industry, he is the Vice Chairman of China Chain Store & Franchise Association as well as numbers of other industrial associations.
Prior to joining B&Q China, he was the Managing Director & Head of Investment Banking of Orient Securities Company between 1998 and 2000, and had been working for Coopers & Lybrand between 1995 and 1998 in Shanghai and London.
David graduated from London Business School and Shanghai International Studies University.
