　　故事梗概：刚刚从军事学校毕业的玛丽安-卡尔弗被分配到一个叫国王桥的地方的小警察局工作。国王桥是一个被上帝抛弃的地方，落后而陈旧，但这个小镇上有美丽的酒馆老板娘、混日子的警察局长、潜藏的污点证人、迷人的警察局长女儿……卡尔弗对警察局长的女儿一见钟情，但他女孩般的腼腆性格令其反感。终于经过努力，卡尔弗赢得美人心。另外，面对开发的压力，在居民的努力下，小镇也保住了原有的宁静。

　　Synopsis:

　　Marian Calfer was sent to a small police station in King’s Bridge after his graduation from the military school. King’s Bridge is called “God-forsaken” place, old and poor, but many interesting people living here, the flirting landlady of the small inn, captain, hidden witness for a mob riot, the beautiful daughter of the captain .Marian falls in love with the captain’s daughter when he first saw her. However, she does not like Marian partly because of his coy character. Finally, Marian wins the beauty’s heart by his humorous efforts. On the other side, facing the pressure from developer, King’s Bridge kept its quiet and old tradition by the habitants’ efforts.
