周 广 仁
周广仁出生于德国汉诺威,父母为中国人,幼年时在上海学习钢琴,师从丁善德、马里奥-帕契、艾尔弗雷德-马库斯、贝拉-贝莱,后来又在中央音乐学院随苏联钢琴家阿拉姆-塔图良进修。
她作为钢琴演奏家的艺术生涯很早就开始了,曾与上海工部局乐队、中央乐团乐队和德国德累斯顿乐队合作过。1951年她参加了在东德举行的世界青年和平友谊联欢节钢琴比赛和1956年第一届舒曼钢琴比赛,均获奖。她是中国在国际钢琴比赛中得奖的第一位钢琴家。她曾任中央乐团独奏演员。
1955年起,她到中央音乐学院钢琴系任教,1986年到1992年任系主任。
她多次在美国、法国、英国, 以色列,挪威、智利, 日本、俄罗斯等国担任国际钢琴比赛评委,并担任中国国际钢琴比赛评委主席。 她在美国的29所大学里举行过讲座、演奏,介绍中国钢琴音乐。
周广仁热心于钢琴普及教育工作。在北京创办了两所儿童钢琴学校,主持比赛和考级活动。政府授予她“优秀文化工作者”、“全国优秀教育工作者”光荣称号。她荣获“老教授科教兴国贡献奖”。英国剑桥国际传记中心授予她“1991-1992年国际妇女”荣誉。
Zhou Guangren
Zhou Guangren,was born in Hannover, Germany, of Chinese parents. In her teen ages she studied piano in Shanghai, with Ding Shande, Mario Paci, Alfred Marcus and Bela Belai. Subsequently she studied at the Central Conservatory of Music with the Russian pianist and pedagogue Aram Tatulian.
Her career as a concert pianist started at an early age, when she was invited to perform with the Shanghai Municipal Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Central Philharmonic Society in Beijing and the Dresden Symphony Orchestra. She participated in the World Youth Peace Festival in Berlin in 1951 and the 1st Schumann International Piano Competition in East Germany, in 1956. She was the first Chinese pianist to be awarded prizes in international competitions. She has worked for many years as a soloist of the Central Philharmonic Society.
Since 1955, she has been on the piano faculty of the of Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and served as Chairman of the Piano Department from 1986-1992.
She was an adjudicator in major international piano competitions, such as the competition in the USA, France, England, Israel, Norway, Chile, Japan, Russia etc. and has been the Chairman of the Jury for the China International Piano Competition. She has toured the USA and given lecture recitals on Chinese piano music in 29 universities.
Zhou Guangren has devoted herself extensively to the popularization of the piano in China. She founded two Children’s Piano Schools, organized piano competitions and worked with grade examinations. The Chinese Government awarded her the honorary title ”Best Cultural Worker” and “National Best Educator”. She also got the “Senior Professor’s Award for Achievements in Science and Education”. She has been honored as “International Woman of the Year 1991-1992” by the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, England.
